Ben Rachel and Hananiah. Shai was born on March 1, 1981 in Assaf Harofeh Hospital in Tsrifin. He spent his early years in Lod and then moved to Carmiel. In 1989, the family returned to the coastal plain and set up their home in Beer Yaakov, where Shai was educated at the Rashbi State Religious School, where he was known by his lovers as a child of a family. And spent most of his childhood with his grandparents in Moshav Ahisamach, where he moved to the religious boarding school “Mikve Israel” in Holon in 1995. According to his commanders, Shai was an outstanding soldier, disciplined, admired by his friends and performed his duties with devotion. On May 31, 2002, Shai was killed while serving in a car accident at the Rantis junction, not far from his home, when he was laid to rest in the military section of the Hadid cemetery. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and his mother asked to engrave the words: “Bechori Bechori, who will never return, we will never close this space.” Shai’s death opened a huge gap in the hearts of his family. The fall of Shai also passed away.
