Yifrah, Amram
Son of Shoshana and Shlomo, was born on 12.1.1935 in Morocco, where he completed his elementary studies. In February 1957 he joined the IDF and served in the infantry. He underwent training in basic training, was sent to a squad commanders’ course and was promoted to corporal. In the course of his service, he underwent a combat command course and in 1959 was discharged from the IDF with the rank of sergeant.On 1 Tevet 5761 (8.12.1980) he was on his way to the shooting range in Kerem Shalom in the Negev. Suddenly he lost consciousness and died of a heart attack. He was 45 when he died. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Ashkelon. After his death, he was promoted to the rank of senior officer in the Haganah, and he left behind a wife, two sons, two parents and five sisters.
