Yemini, Shaul


Son of Nissim and Mazal. He was born on 9/1/1947 in Yemen and immigrated with his family to Israel in 1949. He studied at the Chabad elementary school in Kfar Sava and after completing his studies was accepted as a trainee at the Kfar Avraham vocational high school in Petah Tikva. After his two years of studies in retraining, his parents decided to enlist in the IDF, and when he was only 17, he volunteered to serve in the Paratroopers Brigade . When he finished his compulsory service, he decided that the best way to serve his people was to join the career army. He did so in May 1967. He participated in the Six-Day War, in the Karameh operation and in many operational activities. He loved his friends and friends were visiting his home often liked them all, kept the secrets of the army, careful of telephone conversations and spoke only hints. On December 31, 1969, he died in the course of his duties. He was laid to rest in the Kfar Sava cemetery. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Shaul was one of our friends and friends for years, he was devoted and loyal to his duties perfectly, he excelled in his actions as a fighter and commander. – – – “
