Yemini, Mordechai


Mordechai, son of Tova and Moshe, was born in 1951 in Iran, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1951.Mordechai was drafted into the IDF at the end of July 1969 and volunteered for the Nahal Brigade after completing basic training, after completing a paratroop course, a course for squad commanders and a course on the tank of the Centurion tank, after he was discharged from the regular army, When the war broke out, Mordekhai was sent to the Golan Heights with his unit and took part in the battles against the Syrians on October 7, 1973. On October 7, 1973, his tank was hit in an armored battle near the quarry in volume, Killed on the spot. At first his body was not found and he was declared missing and then considered to be a non-Jew. About eight months after his fall, he was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery. Survived by his father, mother, three brothers and two sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to sergeant.
