Yehuda, Yoel (Rafael)


Ben Miriam and Zion. Yoel was born on May 27, 1962 in Ashkelon. He studied at the elementary school in Moshav Talmim, and graduated with honors at the “Youth Village” high school in Gan Yavneh, where he served in the IDF, in the Armored Corps, and participated in the Lebanon War. In November 1988 Yoel joined the Israel Police, the Border Police. He served in Gaza during the Intifada. In 1990 Yoel met Yaffa, fell in love with her and a year later they married. They lived in Kiryat Gat and in 1993 his daughter Hadar was born, which filled him with too much happiness to describe. Yoel respected the state, loved the army and the police, and fulfilled his duties loyally and with great devotion. Yoel was in constant contact with his family and friends, helped everyone, loved them very much and was loved and loved by everyone. On the 28th of Tevet 5760 (28.12.1999), Sergeant Yoel fell in the line of duty. Thirty-seven years old. He was buried in the Heletz cemetery. Survived by a wife, daughter and parents.
