Yehuda, Simhoni (Assaf)

Son of Simon and Esther. Simhoni (Assaf) was born in Israel on the 16th of Kislev 5711 (16.11.1956). On 2 November 1980, Simhoni joined the Israel Police, the Border Police. During the service years, he advanced to the rank of senior sergeant. Simhoni married Esther. The couple lived in Moshav Yardena in the Beit Shean Valley, where they raised three children – Nofar, Maor and Efrat. Simhoni died in the course of his duty on 6 September 2008, in an accident in which his wife, who was fifty-two years old, was also killed, and he was laid to rest in the Yardena cemetery, leaving three children, a mother and brothers.
