Organized various meetings, headed and initiated meetings with local council heads, the Gadna commander and other senior commanders, and reached the then prime minister, Levi Eshkol, and continued high school in Ofakim, In-depth knowledge and often surprised his teachers when he was very knowledgeable about their academic experience. During his free time, Yehuda liked to engage in reading, photography and painting. He was a member of the Gadna Brigade and was one of the best instructors in the town, and he set up a sophisticated photography lab in which he developed his photographs, and as a hobby he also dealt with the history of the various IDF corps, Especially the Air Force, and was interested in all aviation subjects. His library also included books on psychology. After completing three years of high school in Ofakim, Yehuda decided to devote his studies to aviation. He successfully passed the entrance exams for the Israel Air Force School of Technology in Haifa, in the electronics track, and completed his studies as an outstanding trainee. The certificate states: “An outstanding student who has achieved achievements that have not been registered in the school for the last ten years.” Even when he came home for vacations, he continued to study hard, developed photographs in his laboratory and assembled various instruments. His enthusiasm for the vast knowledge he acquired and the science he discovered was tremendous and he used to share it with his good friend Joshua. For him there was no better time than school. Yehuda was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early October 1971 and assigned to the IAF, where he continued to specialize in the field of airborne communications equipment, and was commended for his promotion to the rank of corporal outside the standard. Was chosen as an outstanding soldier of the Electronics Division, and received a special letter of appreciation from the squadron commander for his dedication to his position. From a professional point of view, the soldier stands out and received special certification. “He was appointed head of a squad in the control room for electronics even before he completed 12 months of service in the IDF. Yehuda was on probation, accepted to a pilot course and began training in October 1972. In May 1973, he completed a parachuting course. The Yom Kippur War interrupted his training and he returned to the control room. His commanders finished his praises and he was praised time after time. Upon resuming his training at the Flight School, Yehuda was placed in a navigational course. At all stages of the course he was very successful and it was clear that he was going to win the wings of the pilot, in addition to the “wings of the paratrooper.” On February 12, 1974, shortly before receiving the wings, Yehuda fell on a routine training flight over Mount Arif, in the Mitzpe region and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Ofakim.
