Yehuda, Abraham
Son of David and Rachel. He was born on 19 March 1956 in Nahalat Yehuda near Rishon Letzion, the son of a family that immigrated to Israel after the destruction of Babylon, and was the sixth child in the family, followed by eight other children. But he did not want to be separated from his friends, he loved social life, and above all he was an avid sports enthusiast, he played football in Hapoel-Nahalat-Yehuda, and even when he enlisted, Avraham completed his studies at the Kaplan School in his hometown, and was forced to leave the labor market to support himself and support his family. He was Simcha and he gave a farewell party to his friends on the occasion of the event, which he saw as the beginning of a new, more interesting and fascinating life. And he was transferred to the Air Force, where he took a course in military behavior and served as a truck driver, and on the 29th of Tishrei 5726 (29.9.1975) Avraham fell while performing his duties and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Rishon Letzion. Survived by his parents, brothers and sisters. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Avraham was a dedicated and diligent soldier who performed everything that was imposed on him impeccably day and night and every day of the year … Avraham was admired and accepted by his surroundings, commanders and colleagues alike. I am indebted to you for the gratitude of the State for having brought, raised and educated such a son. ” The family commemorated his name by donating a Torah scroll in his memory.
