Son of Shlomo and Simchah. He was born on the 13th of March 1939 in the city of Amara, Iraq. He attended elementary school before immigrating to Israel, and after his aliyah, in 1951, continued his evening classes. Soon he merged with the life of the earth and loved it and everything in it. When he reached the age of 15, he decided to go to school, because, according to him, “the surroundings of Tel Aviv were not for me.” Then he went out to Kissufim and gave his hand to the local members, The paratroopers were disappointed when he was not there. During his service in the Engineering Corps he was ready for any action. He participated in several battles and even in the Sinai Campaign. He aspired to go to the moshav with his family and devote himself to the work of the land, yet he did not give up his desire to join the permanent army. He worked for Mekorot. He also trained in boxing. He fell on the 20th of Sivan 5717 (18.6.1957) while fulfilling his duties and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
