Son of Shmuel and Devorah. He was born on October 18, 1952. In his childhood he nursed in his parents’ home a military atmosphere, because his father served as an officer in the army and border police, and he completed his studies at the elementary school, At the entrance to the military boarding school near the Herzliya Gymnasium in Tel Aviv, and his dream from his youth was to enlist in the IDF and become an officer in the army – his father. When he put on his military uniform for the first time he was not Simcha with it. The boarding school was a disciplined boy, an exemplary military man and a favorite of his commanders and friends. On his walks with his classmates at the gymnasium, helped as much as he could with the weak and supported them – all this he did quietly and modestly. He liked animals and plants and cared for them with great love. His love for Israel was nurtured in his trips before the army, and in the many navigation flights he later conducted in the squadron. In the Six Day War, he heard his mother tell about mothers who were evacuating their children from the country. “We are fighting for our lives, because we have no choice, we have nowhere to go – only to the sea.” He was certain of Israel’s victory. After the war, he toured the area of ​​Jericho and along the Jordan River with his father (who commanded an armored unit) and did not stop marveling at the beauty of the country. His days of maturity were spent happily in boarding school, for the pride of his parents. After completing his studies in boarding school, he toured with the department members for a month in Europe and admired the scenery and nature, but his longing for his homeland was stronger than anything else. He enlisted in the IDF in early 1970. He wanted to serve in the commando unit, but his friends and commanders pressed him to go to the pilots’ course, and he volunteered to serve in the Israel Air Force, where he flew on his own – and there was no limit to his admiration for the beauty of the country. He was injured in the course of his duty while still in compulsory service, and on the 10th of Adar, he was injured in the army, (19.2.1972), died of his wounds, one stage before the end of the pilot course. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. After his death, he was awarded the rank of second lieutenant, and a boarding school was established at the military boarding school in Herzlia.
