Yazdi, Eliyahu (Eli)

Eli, son of Orly and Meir Yazdi, was born in Haifa in 1984. Eli joined the Israel Prison Service and was appointed security guard at the Megiddo Prison in July 2006.In September 2007, riots broke out in the prison, where Palestinian prisoners and terrorists were imprisoned, and Eli took part in taking over prisoners time after time and experienced things that affected his physical and mental health. On 8 October 2007, two weeks after the outbreak of the riots, While Eli was a sergeant on duty, a headache that accompanied him all day long worsened and he went to the prison clinic, where he lost consciousness and was rushed to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. He died on the 2nd of Cheshvan (14.10.2007). After he fell, he was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant.
