Yaniv-Yitzhak Azoulay
Sergeant Major Yaniv-Yitzhak Azoulay, son of Hanna and Robert, born on 16th of Tevet 5760 (26 December 1977) in Kiryat Malachi. A younger brother of Tomer and Haim.
After his mother passed away, his father remarried and had Yaniv’s half-siblings – Ephraim and Lauren Hanna.
He enlisted in the IDF on December 2, 1999. Served in the Technology and Maintenance Corps, continuing to serve in the Corps as he advanced to the rank of Advanced Sergeant.
Yaniv got lucky. The couple set up a home in Kiryat Gat, where their children were born Efrat, Talia, Itai, Elran, Afek and Adel.
Yaniv Yitzhak Azoulay fell during his service on the 16th of Adar B’Tselem (March 22, 2019). Forty-one years old fell. Brought to rest in Kiryat Malachi cemetery, in the military section. Left a wife, three sons and a daughter, father and brothers.
He was promoted to senior sergeant after his fall.
