Yanaf, Rachamim (Remy)
Son of Moshe and Mazal. He was born on the 15th of Adar 5714 (March 20, 1954) in Jerusalem. After graduating from elementary school, he went to study fine mechanics at a vocational school in Jerusalem. Until the time he enlisted in the army, he worked for a short period of time. He then studied at the Air Force Technical School for ten months. Rachamim was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of November 1972 and assigned to the infantry brigade, where he completed a driving course and was trained for this profession. On 6 July 1974 he fell in his position on Mount Hermon after being injured in a road accident a few days earlier. Was buried in the cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, and his family commemorated his name and memory by purchasing a bookcase and buying books for the Library of the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem.
