Yakobov, Dmitry
The eldest son of Tatiana and Georgi, a brother to Ilana. Was born on December 16, 1971 in Uzbekistan in the Soviet Union. Dmitry grew up and was educated in his hometown. As a child, he showed great interest in music, and after many years of studying music, he became a gifted drummer who recorded quite a few of his works professionally. In August 1990, Dmitri won the second prize in a European drummer rock competition. In December of that year, at the age of nineteen, the family immigrated to Israel and lived in the Be’erotayim caravan site. At the beginning of January 1993, Dimitri was drafted into the IDF and became a heavy freight driver at Lod Air Force Base On 3 January 1993, Dmitri was critically wounded in a car accident north of the Ramat Poleg interchange and was rushed to Tel Hashomer Hospital, where he died on 18 July 1993, C.
