Yaish, Uzi
Lucky and alive. Uzi was born on the 19th of Av 5717 (August 19, 1957). Upon his mother’s death in a second birth, his grandmother and grandfather took him to their home in Moshav Nachla, where he grew up and studied until the fourth grade. That same year, the family moved to Hadera, where Uzi finished elementary school. He did his next studies together with orphaned children at a carpentry school in Brandes, and graduated with a professional diploma.
