Yair, Sigalit


Daughter of Susan and Gazi. She was born on August 20, 1968 in Rehovot. A seventh child in a family of nine children. Sigalit’s childhood and adolescence were spent in Rehovot. She studied at the Weizmann elementary school and the Katzir High School. At the end of May 1987, Sigalit was drafted to the IDF’s compulsory army service and was sent to the secretarial course at the ORT Hannah Szenes School in Haifa, at which time Sigalit was a good student, continued her studies and understood the importance of her success During her service, Sigalit contracted a serious illness and was hospitalized for a long period of time at Tel Hashomer Hospital on April 4, 1988. Sigalit was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Rehovot, leaving behind her parents , Four sisters – Sima, Aliza, Rachel and Smadar and four siblings – Ya’ish, Shlomo, Yoav and Yechezkel. Unit: “Sigalit was very fond of all the friends and commanders. Full of joy of life and always with a smile on her face … she wanted very much to learn, to make progress and succeed … “
