Yacobi, Benjamin-Ze’ev


Son of Avraham and Rachel. He was born on 20.6.1937 in Hadera, and his parents named him after the father of Zionism, whose son was born on the day of his death, completed his studies at an elementary school in Holon, continued in two grades in the high school there, The Aharon Biram Military Academy, located near the Reali School in Haifa. She was among the graduates of her first class. From childhood, he was gifted with insight and intelligence and was always able to devote himself to the task with great effort. Good-hearted, honest and devoted to the family. About a week before the Sinai Campaign, he arrived at the Armored Corps and was very pleased to learn that he would be in charge of the jeep division. Indeed, he soon became fond of his commanders and subordinates. He fell on the 26th of Mishvan 5771 (October 31, 1956) at the Mitla Pass. He was buried in the Military Cemetery of the Emergency Forces in Shelah and on the 28th of Tishrei 5718 (October 23, 1957) he was put to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. The military boarding school issued a pamphlet in his memory.
