Yachimovich, S.


He was born on the 5th of Tevet 13.12.1923. During the Second World War, he enlisted in England to the Jewish Fighting Brigade of the British Army, fought in Italy on the Senio front, fulfilled his duties fully and stood out in his integrity. During the journey of the Brigade from Italy to Belgium via Alsace-Lorraine, he was killed in an accident and brought to rest in the Jewish cemetery in Metz, France. It was commemorated in “The Book of the Brigade”, in “The Book of Volunteerism,” in the “Book of the Year of the Journalists” and in the book “Yizkor” published by the Jabotinsky Institute.
