Ya’ari, Oren
Son of Roth and Aaron. He was born on March 7, 1971 in Ramat Gan. He grew up in his hometown. He began his studies at the Nitzanim Elementary School and continues at the Ohel Shem High School in the literary track. Oren, who was sensitive, introverted and eager, loved his family and developed warm friendships with some of his colleagues. He sought to expand his knowledge through the many trips he made in Israel and abroad and through systematic study in certain fields. For example, he sought to deepen his knowledge of Judaism and tradition in special classes he participated in. Oren was a member of the school delegation that took part in the first “March of the Living” held on the 45th anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising. In his youth he was a member of the Scout movement and was a member of the Yarkon Scouts. Oren developed into an intellectual young man with artistic leanings, who listened to classical music and played several instruments: organ, guitar and harmonica. He read beautiful literature and poetry and even wrote and translated poetry. Among his translations is a collection of songs by Jim Morrison. As a reader, he particularly loved and admired the writings of Kafka and Agnon. He studied many of their writings and saw his future in study and study of literature and poetry, especially Hebrew literature. In August 1989, Oren was recruited to serve in the Israel Defense Forces, and was assigned to serve in the Navy, after he was appointed to serve in the Israel Defense Forces, where he was responsible for the operation of a pedagogical switchboard and later on an audiovisual switchboard . He reached the rank of sergeant and was satisfied with this role and his activity was appreciated by his commanders and colleagues. Due to the elevation of his medical profile, he was transferred to a combat unit in the territorial brigade in the Jordan Valley. Oren fell in the course of his duties on December 17, 1991 and was laid to rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery, where he was survived by his parents and two married brothers, and his family collected a collection of poems and prose poems.
