Ben Bella and Zerach was born on February 25, 1916, in Smolensk, Russia. Jacob immigrated to Israel on April 10, 1936, and immediately joined the founders of the Ein Gev farm on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Ya’akov participated in the Battle of Tzemach and when the battles began on Ein Gev he was appointed commander of the Palmach, and he was wounded by shrapnel and was sent to the hospital in Tiberias before returning to the defense of the place and repairing the fortifications. The main thing is to keep the people, that if they live, the agriculture will rise too. “On Tuesday, June 10, 1948, he rushed to a position that was severely attacked, and when he jumped over the communications channel, a bullet hit his stomach. He did not lose consciousness and called on his fighters: “Go, save the situation!” He was hit by a second bullet in the back, and before he could be helped, he died. He was buried in Tiberias. He left behind a wife, Gisia, and two daughters. He was later transferred to the Ein Gev cemetery.
