Wurman, Shaul
Son of Shlomo and Paula. He was born in Israel on February 3, 1952. He studied at the Perlstein Elementary School in Bat Yam and in the first grades of elementary school he was a member of the “Scouts” school and participated actively in all the events He continued his studies at the Municipal High School in Bat Yam, where he was one of the most talented students and participated in all the Gadna training and activities. Saul stood out diligently in high school and excelled in his thinking among his classmates. He was also an excellent chess player and was elected a full member of the school team. He would read books-especially classical literature. His reading ability was so great that he had to switch public libraries because the librarians could not provide him with books he had not yet read. He was a devoted friend and always willing to help his friends. He meticulously prepared his lessons, especially in mathematics, in which he aspired to excel. Shaul was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in the second week of August 1970 and assigned to the Armored Corps, and he was well integrated into the life of the new society, not only because of his good spirit and temperament, but mainly because of his human qualities and especially because of his kindness. That he would be so willing to do for his friends and even at his own expense, as he did. His sense of humor is hard to forget. “He had a clear mind in all his ways, full of joy of life and noble naiveté, and never spoke ill of a friend: In early December 1971, he was injured during his service, on the day of Kislev 5762 (December 16, 1971) After being wounded, he died and was brought to rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery.
