Wurman, Moshe


Moshe ben Yitzhak and Sarah was born on the 19th of Tevet, December 25, 1934 in Warsaw, Poland and immigrated to Israel in 1948. Moshe was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in mid-March 1952 and assigned to the Israel Air Force as a driver. He completed a reconnaissance course at the beginning of his military service. During his service, he took part in Sinai, the Six-Day War, and the Yom Kippur War. After his discharge from the IDF, Moshe was called for periods of active reserve duty, and he volunteered to continue serving in any combat unit. After his discharge from the IDF, Moshe worked as a taxi driver in Pan American and lived in Bat Yam, where he married Bracha, and he had four children – Yitzhak, Sarah, Avi and Orna. On the 1st of Nisan, April 1, 1976, during training in the Bir-Ram area on the Golan Heights Moshe was hit and fell in the line of duty. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat-Esh. He left behind a wife and four children.
