Wolin, Arie (Leibele)


Son of Shoshana and Avraham. He was born on July 21, 1921 in the city of Buchan in Galicia, Poland. He was an outstanding and talented student. Immigrated with his parents to Eretz Israel. In Israel Aryeh continued his studies, and when he finished he turned to work life. In 1941, he enlisted in the Artillery Corps of the British Army and served in Haifa and Tripoli, Lebanon. In 1944, with the foundation of the Jewish Brigade, he moved with his company to the field artillery unit of the Brigade and continued its service with great dedication, remembering his friends as a cheerful young man who was ready to encourage and help in times of need. 1945.) Killed in an accident while on duty in Padua, Italy, where he was laid to rest, 22 years old at the time of his death, put three sisters and brother in the book “The Jewish Brigade.”
