Wolf, Hanan

Wolf, Hanan

The son of Shoshana and Eliahu was born on 28.7.1929 in Berlin, the capital of Germany, and immigrated to Israel with his parents on September 26, 1938. Hanan was a talented soldier and was noted favorably by his commanders. On te 1st of Tevet, December 14, 1947, a convoy of seven cars left Petah Tikva with 48 people, and surprisingly, the convoy traveled not through the usual route, but through Migdal Tzedek and Beit and Beit Nabala. The convoy managed to advance despite enemy fire from several places and mishaps that occurred to the vehicles. When it reached the army camps in Beit Nabala, heavy fire was fired at it by a unit of the Arab Legion that was there. In this battle Hanan fell. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
