Wizman (VItzman), Uzi
Son of Shlomo and Miriam. He was born on 21.6.1957 in Moshav Tirat-Yehuda. He studied at the Mitzpe Elementary School in Kiryat Motzkin and continued his studies at the Regavim High School in Kiryat Haim. More than studies, Uzi devoted his energy and love to the pursuits that interested him; He loved carpentry, and he was proud of the carpentry work he had done in relation to artistic value. He was an excellent athlete and excelled in professions that required a lot of strength – weight lifting, boxing and strength training. He participated in the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Sports Medal and was awarded certificates of excellence. Uzi loved music and built a large pop-up album and a collection of pictures of singers and artists. In the company he was a popular and accepted boy, listened happily to the words of others, and used to help his friends as much as he could. He was fond of entertainment, his clothes were always neat and elegant, and he was a social focus in his neighborhood and school. Uzi was drafted into the IDF in May 1975. He was sent to basic training and despite the difficulties of adapting to the military discipline, short haircut, and difficult demands, he managed to stand out as a good soldier with a will and ability. On August 28, 1975, Uzi fell in the military cemetery in Haifa, leaving behind his parents, seven brothers and sisters, and in a letter of condolences to the bereaved family, his commander wrote : “Private Uzi z” l managed to be in our unit for a short period of time, but in a period of time it was engraved in our memory that he tried to succeed and be a good soldier, And members of its training. It was strong desire to prove competence and be an exemplary soldier “. His family donated a Torah library to his memory in the “Heroes’ Legends” synagogue in Kiryat Motzkin.
