Wilder, Yoav

Yoav, son of Shoshana and Moshe, was born on October 3, 1925, in Eretz Israel. He studied at the elementary school in Binyamina and later continued to work in agriculture. He was active in the Haganah. From the beginning of the War of Independence he enlisted among the first members of Binyamina to the Alexandroni Brigade. He participated in the battles of Ein Ghazal, Tantura, Mishmar HaEmek and Tira in the Sharon region. On the 19th of Iyar 5708 (May 28, 1948), riding on a motorcycle while carrying out his mission, he was killed in an accident near Even Yehuda. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Binyamina.
