Wilder, Menachem
Son of Malka and Leib, was born on 25.4.1922 in Vienna, the capital of Austria. In 1938 he came to Israel as part of the Youth Aliya and for two years received training and education in Nahalal. After that he spent four years in the kibbutz and from 1944 onwards worked in agriculture in Kiryat Bialik and lived there with his wife. During the War of Independence he served as a corporal in the Golani brigade and participated in battles in the Jordan Valley and the Galilee. Menachem was killed in a road accident near Kfar Tavor on August 29, 1948, and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Afula.
