Joseph, son of Rivka and Mendel, was born in Tel Aviv on the 29th of March, 1944. On Yom Kippur he received an order to enlist members of his unit, and on Yom Kippur he joined the Medical Corps unit, which established a field hospital in the El Al area in the Golan Heights, where he worked day and night.
