Wexler, Sonia
Daughter of Mali and Yosef, was born in October 1931 in Botosani, Romania. She graduated from elementary school and tasted the bitter taste of the Diaspora, and immigrated to Israel as part of Youth Aliya in 1945 aboard the Hannah Szenes. She spent two years with the youth movement at Ramat Hakovesh. From there she moved to Nu’man. When the War of Independence broke out, she went to the Negev with her fellow members of the Palmach training group, a strong girl in her character, immune to injuries and usually cheerful and joyful around her.
