Son of Haim and Yaffa. He was born in Damascus, Syria, on 13.5.1937, where he studied at the Alliance School, where he immigrated to Israel together with other youth and his friends. He studied at a vocational school in Haifa until he reached the mitzva, and at the age of fourteen he left the school and studied carpentry, and since then he worked in the Police Department in Haifa, where he returned to the kibbutz.
