He was a true friend and a conversationalist who could be “poured out.” Yaron joined the IDF in early December 1991. As a person who grew up and was educated on the values of Zionism, love of the people and the country, he was an avowed patriot and his loyalty and devotion expressed when he volunteered for “Givati”. After completing basic training, Yaron was trained as a combat soldier and was assigned to serve as an operations sergeant in the Givati Brigade’s Tzabar Battalion, and Yaron was a handsome, tall and sturdy soldier with a clear sense of humor, honest and decent.
