Wertman, Aharon

Aharon, son of Sima and Avraham-Yosef Wertman, was born on 28.5.1915 in Jerusalem. With the outbreak of the War of Independence and when the siege ring on Jerusalem was tightened, Aharon held various defense functions. On the 19th of Adar I 5708 (29.2.1948), while on duty, he fell from an enemy bullet. He was laid to rest in the Sanhedria cemetery. He left behind a wife and two children.
