Michael (from Makhlofi), son of Reuven and Fani, was born on May 21, 1954, in Casablanca, Morocco, and immigrated to Israel with his family in the same year, where he studied at the Netaim Elementary School in Be’er Sheva, He continued his studies at the Amal vocational high school in Be’er Sheva, where he studied mechanical engineering, and after graduating from elementary school, he began to work to help with the household agriculture, but his family urged him to continue studying. Michael was a member of the Hashomer Hatza’ir movement and was later a member of the Beer Sheva soccer team and was a sports enthusiast and was very enthusiastic about soccer. And devoted much of his spare time to listening to pop music, Michael was a serious man in his approach to life, somewhat withdrawn and quiet, and could easily be talked to: He was very lonely, quiet, shy and timid, He worked hard to help his father support the house, and was a loyal and devoted son to his parents, he felt great respect for them and ensured their well-being and well-being. . Michael was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early 1972 and was assigned to the Israel Air Force, where he served as a noncommissioned officer in the air force and helped the commander of the area. And his parents and his brothers helped him with his advice and encouraged him during the difficult hours, after the hard and arduous training On Thursday, October 31, 1973, Michael fell while performing his duties on the Revivim-Tze’elim road. He was survived by a father, mother, three brothers and three sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to sergeant. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Michael was an initiator, a dedicated soldier and an excellent friend.” His parents donated a Torah scroll to the synagogue in Be’er Sheva.
