Weitzman, Naot

Naot, son of Ilana and Chaim Weitzman, was born on Kibbutz Tirat Zvi in 1991, in the early days of the Gulf War. When he grew up, Naot was a beloved soldier of the Golani Brigade. While on a diving vacation with some friends in Eilat, a malfunction occurred. Despite a quick rescue and dedicated care by the medical staff at Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat and later at the Rambam Hospital in Haifa, Naot died of his wounds two days later. It was the 19th of Nissan (23.4.2011), on the holiday of Passover. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl, Jerusalem.
