Weitzman, Aharon
Aharon, son of Nizima and Yehuda Weitzman, was born on the 21st of Av 5714 (August 20, 1954) in Haifa. He studied at the Alharizi Elementary School in Tel-Baruch and then completed his studies at the “Shevach” vocational high school in Tel Aviv, where he was a sports fan, loved playing soccer and fishing at the sea. He was very quiet and shy person modest, and did not talk much about himself, smiled a lot and was happy with what he had. Aharon helped his father out athis work and helped his friends as mutch as he could. May 1972 he was assigned to the Armored Corps After completing his basic training, he completed a military training course in which he received a high grade (95) and gave up his right to serve in the unit closest to his home (a right that was granted to him because the family depended on his help). On October 6, 1973, Aharon fell in the northern sector of the Sinai, at the “Hatzav” post. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He was survived by a father, a mother, three brothers and a sister. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal. He excelled in high morale and volunteered for every mission whenever volunteers were asked. His parents donated a Torah scroll to his memory.
