Weissler, Uri

Uri, son of-Zvi-Fritz and Ilse Weissler, members of Givat Brenner, was born on March 27, 1943 in Givat Brenner. After completing his studies, he was drafted into the IDF in August 1962. His coolness and judgment characterized all his actions even during the difficult times of the Six Day War, during which he participated courageously, with courage and natural authority. On the 30th of Sivan 5767 (8.7.1967) he fell in a battle in the Kantara region as a result of a direct shell hit his position and left a wife in her pregnancy – and the son was born about four months after the fall of his father.
