Weiss, Yosef
Yosef, son of Elka and Israel Isser Weiss, was born in 1919 in one of the Jewish communities in Hungary. In 1946 he immigrated to Israel, settled in Tel Aviv and worked in his profession. In the evening, after a hard day’s work, he studied Hebrew diligently. Yosef joined the IDF and was sent to the front of Jerusalem where he fell on 3 Sivan, June 10, 1948 in Kiryat Anavim, during the shelling. Yosef was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Anavim.
