Weiss, Yaakov (“Yintze”)

Son of Meir and Hannah. He was born on May 15, 1926 in the city of Liestz, Poland. The family immigrated to Israel in 1936. Yaakov belonged to the Haganah and served in the Israel Defense Forces, went to Sinai, and on the 28th of Cheshvan, 5717 (November 2, 1956), he fell in the battle of Abu-Agila and was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
