Weiss, Moshe
Son of Miriam nee’ Levinger and Martin, Moshe was born in Estergom, Hungary in 1924. At the age of 22, in 1946, he immigrated to Israel alone and joined the Zionist pioneering training program at Kibbutz Ein Hahoresh. Moshe joined the Palmach and took part in a number of battles, and during the battle for the conquest of Beersheba, he was killed, on October 21, 1948. He died of his wounds and was buried on the same day on the border. Moshe was put to rest at the military cemetery in Nahalat Yitzhak in 1949.
