Weiss, Joshua
Son of Rachel and Solomon. Yehoshua was born to parents who survived the Holocaust on Tuesday, September 12, 1953. He grew up in a religious atmosphere and was educated at the “Nehalim” High School, where he enlisted in the IDF and served as a lieutenant colonel. Yehoshua married and built his home in Moshav Kfar Ahim, where his four children grew up. He was a good husband and a good father who cared for his children. Joshua was a figure who swept people for the public cause. After he was a volunteer of the police and a regular security coordinator (volunteer coordinator) in Kfar Achim, he was recruited and served as the officer of the Be’er Tuvia Regional Council. Joshua’s main hobby was weapons. He had run a range for over ten years. On May 30, 1996, Rabbi Yehoshua fell in the line of duty. Forty-three in his fall. He was buried in the cemetery in Kfar Achim. Survived by a wife and four children, parents and brother. Yehoshua’s father died of a heartbreak three months after the fall of his son. The range that Yehoshua built and built with his own hands and with the help of volunteers was named after him.
