Son Miriam and Avraham Was born on 13.9.1903 in Transylvania (then in Hungary and later in Romania) Binyamin immigrated to Israel in 1923 and began working for them in kfar gidon. When he was married he tried to stop working at night and began working at the Nesher factory, but he could not give up space and freedom and after a few weeks returned to guard duty. In the winter of 1948, he was vigilant day and night, alert for every danger, and thanks to his watchful eye, the plot to blow up the big mills in Haifa was thwarted. On April 22, 1948, in one of the Arab Legionnaires’ attacks on Jewish transport, he was attacked in a van with several young men, hit by a bullet and fell, and Binyamin was brought to rest in the guard section of Sheikh Abrik.
