The only son of Adele and Avraham was born on January 25, 1929 in Berlin, the capital of Germany, and immigrated to Israel on February 20, 1934. He had a high-school and professional education, an active member of the Maccabee-Hatzair movement and an excellent athlete. In Israel, he joined the Gadna and later to live in Tel Aviv. During the struggle, he participated in the attack on the British mobile police base in Sarona at the Wingate Night, where he was arrested by the British and other operations. With the outbreak of the battles of the War of Independence he operated within the boundaries of Tel Aviv and served as a sabotage unit. He participated in “Nachshon” activities, in the battles of Jerusalem and in the Negev, as part of the Givati Brigade, during the conquest of the Castel, and twice in the conquest of Jaffa, Abu Kabir, Salameh, Tel Arish, Yazur and Beit Dagon. On June 3, 1948, as part of the “Philistine” operation, the Givati forces attacked the Egyptian alignment near the Ashdod Bridge (the “Ad Halom” bridge today), and the forces were forced to retreat. He was killed and his body was almost completely destroyed, and the bodies of its members were collected only a few months later, and Alexander fell on May 3, 1948, when, according to the testimony of his friend, He was carrying a pile of explosive materials that was about to explode in order to save the lives of his friends On the 16th of Cheshvan 5709 (18.11.1948) he was laid to rest in the military cemetery in the village of Warburg, Maccabi Hatza’ir “and named after the library of counselors at the branch.
