Weinerman, Mordechai

Son of Malka and David, was born on January 1, 2121 in Poland. As a child he emigrated to Argentina with his parents, where he was educated in Buenos Aires. He joined the Hashomer Hatzair youth movement at the age of 13 and was the first among his contemporaries in this faraway country, This act served as an example to many members of his movement who followed in his footsteps. Mordechai immigrated to Israel on February 5, 1946, and was one of the pioneers who came to us from Argentina and the founders of the Latino-American kibbutz group. When he came to Negba he immediately went to work and to the farm, and continued to contact the Sumerian movement abroad. Was translating Hebrew and Yiddish material from Hebrew and Yiddish into his movement in South America. With the same stubbornness that he had used the plow, he also used the machine gun that operated on it on the day the Egyptian army stormed Negba. On the 12th of Tammuz 5708 (12.7.1948), he fell in the battle of Negba near the machine gun that was operating there and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Negba.
