Weinberger, Abraham


Son of Esther and Jacob, was born on October 10, 1919 in the village of Andra, Transylvania, Romania, and studied in a Hebrew high school in the city of Ordea-Mera, where he immigrated to Israel in 1939 and settled in Kiryat Motzkin. He served for five years, was cheerful and kind, and during the War of Independence he joined the IDF. He served on the rear, but at his request he was attached to an IDF camouflage unit on August 14, 1948, when he fell near Rosh Hanikra. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya.
