Weinberg, Shimon


Son of Zeev. He was born in 1914 in Windau, Latvia. In 1936 he immigrated to Eretz Israel and lived in Tel Aviv. Here he joined the ranks of the Haganah and enlisted in the Guard Corps. On the 28th of Tevet (28.12.1938), he accompanied workers of the Solel Boneh company from their place of work near Paradia, in the vicinity of Safed, at a dangerous bend on the Acre-Safed road, an accident occurred and Shimon was thrown out of the truck and killed. He left behind a mother, brother, and sister.
