Wasser, Remy
Son of Hanna and Joseph. He was born on December 2, 1966, in Moshav Kochav Michael. He studied at the Nitzan regional elementary school on Kibbutz Nitzanim and graduated from the Kfar Silver High School. As a youth he was a member of the youth movement of the moshav movement and was involved in public work. Rami excelled in sports and played basketball and soccer in Hapoel’s team. He had a special sense of humor and a lot of joking. His wit and warm smile liked him for his many friends and acquaintances. His brother Pinchas writes: “Rami I know is Rami who sang all the time … singing with passion, loudly – that the entire neighborhood will listen!” Rami was sensitive to others and it was hard for him to see another person’s suffering. Rami was drafted into the IDF at the end of January 1985 and assigned to the Intelligence Corps as a maintenance noncom. He was responsible and dedicated to his job. On the 10th of Sivan 5747 (July 6, 1987), he was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the Kochav Michael cemetery, leaving behind his parents and two brothers Pinchas and Michael. His commander: “Rami was a person of great personal ability and did his duty by showing initiative, loyalty and personal integrity.”
