Wallach, Shmuel

Son of Sarah and Abraham, was born on 27.6.1921 in Tel Aviv. He graduated from the “Ahad Ha’am” elementary school and the Herzliya Gymnasium (cycle 27.) His teachers at the school were impressed by his serenity, his peace of mind, and his delicacy in his social relations.He sought to become an engineer, He joined the Haganah and was already a veteran of the War of Independence, and was one of the first conscripts and was sent immediately to the Negev. Where he served in a technical company in one of the battalions, and Shmuel fell while the “Mekorot” facilities near Nir Am were on fire on May 19, 1948 ). He was buried in Nir Am. On the 25th of Kislev 5712 (December 4, 1950), he was put to rest at the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
