Wagshal, Natan


Natan, son of Chaya and Asher-Yeshayahu Wagshal, was born on February 15, 1921 in the city of Nisko, Poland. He immigrated to Israel in 1935, when he was only 14 years old. He joined the “Youth Aliya” group in Ayelet Hashahar in 1936, where he studied and worked there. He was one of the first to enlist in full service before the IDF was active, serving in the Golani Brigade as a squad commander, taking part in combat in the area. On the 27th of Nissan 5708 (May 6, 1948) he fell during the conquest of Sejera, and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Beit Keshet.
