Wachtfogel, Shmuel


Son of-Bluma-Rachel and Rabbi Yitzchak-Ya’akov was born on March 15, 1929 in Jerusalem, studied at the Talmud Torah and at the Mea Shearim Yeshiva under his father’s leadership. He joined the Irgun underground in 1946 and joined the Irgun underground in 1946. After completing military training, he took part in activities against foreign rule. In the winter of 1948, he held responsible positions in anti-Arab activities on the border of Jaffa and was appointed responsible for the Irgun’s weapons industry. During the Passover holiday of 1948 he went to battle for the conquest of Jaffa and fell in battle on April 25, 1948. His body was never found, and his memorial was erected in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. – a space whose burial place is unknown.
