Adam (Avi), son of Sarah and Moshe, was born on February 23, 1952, in Lignitz, Poland, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1957. Adam was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early May 1970 and assigned to the Armored Corps, where he completed a basic training course in the Patton tanks, where he was a good soldier and was highly praised by his commanders for being responsible and dedicated to his duties. He was given an “operational service signal” for his part in operational activities, and when he was away from home for a long time he tried not to worry his parents and often wrote letters to them and called them frequently.Then the Yom Kippur War broke out he was drafted and sent with his unit to the front in Sinai.
